Who are we?

We are urban gardening lovers and experts

Patrick Vernuccio, former marketing executive and now known as The Frenchie Gardener, is an author, facilitator and content creator (1.3 million followers) on urban gardening and regenerative living. He shares his passion for vegetable gardens, to welcome back the taste of nature into our lives and our cities to recreate this essential connection with our food, our seasons and biodiversity. As an advocate of permaculture, he strives to adapt this regenerative philosophy and techniques into our urban and business environments.

Our first project with Netflix

Life After Ad has successfully upcycled a giant promotional billboard for the film “Wingwomen”, using PVC-free material. This advertising billboard has been transformed into planter grow bags to install an urban garden in the heart of Netflix's French headquarters. French employees of the streaming platform can now benefit from an outdoor & indoor space welcoming back biodiversity. A beautiful extension and lasting impact of this entertainment campaign.

Our vision

Upcycling for biodiversity

Life After Ad is part of a systemic reflection on the environmental responsibility of advertising. We are convinced that agencies and advertisers can no longer simply compensate for their ecological impact, but must now commit to actively contributing to the transition. By giving new life and ecological uses to these giant advertisements promised to be discarded, Life After Ad provides the beginning of a response to the waste challenge.

Together for cleaner advertising

To create and design these urban gardens, Life After Ad is working with industry experts to ethically produce the grow bags as well as gardening experts to ensure sustainable practices by sourcing local potting soil and planting local varieties which are recommended by the local biodiversity authorities.

The ambition is also to ultimately offer upcycling solutions to grow food in these urban gardens. Tests are currently underway.
